CREATE, LEAD, EMPOWER OHIO

To meet the needs of students, post-pandemic and beyond, INFOhio has collaborated with education partners to deliver tools and resources to accomplish the following goals:

• Accelerate personalized learning.
• Prepare students to pursue a fulfilling, post-high school path.
• Empower students to become resilient, lifelong learners who contribute to society. 

The Create, Lead, Empower Ohio (CLEO) toolkit is funded through Future Forward Ohio and designed to support educators as they work to prepare students for success. Teachers can use the toolkit to locate materials to support students as they develop the employability skills they need for positive interaction with their peers and adults.

Students need support to grow and thrive in a post-pandemic education environment. The Create, Lead, Empower Ohio toolkit for Ohio educators includes links to both vetted, licensed INFOhio resources and sites freely accessible via the web. 

The Create, Lead, Empower Ohio toolkit is a curated collection of websites, lesson plans, digital content, supplemental instructional materials, and instructional units for educators. Create, Lead, Empower Ohio offers supplemental instructional support for content-area teachers, fine arts and industrial arts, focusing on content that integrates the following skills in classrooms:

• 21st-century literacies
• Career exploration and planning
• Self-directed learning
• Employability skills 

Ohio educators have curated the resources and sites in the toolkit to support student development and mastery of competencies needed for learning and the workforce. The resources and sites in the toolkit cover a wide range of grade levels. Educators should evaluate and select instructional materials that will be most appropriate for supporting students learning needs and curriculum goals. Educators and school librarians use the Instructional Materials Matter rubric to guide their selection of content to support national learning standards, Ohio Library Guidelines, the Career Connections Framework, and Ohio’s Learning Standards.
